[For example, has anybody noticed that Deep Shredder 12 performs approx.40 Elo less than Spike 1.4
http://www.sedatcanbaz.com/chess/scct-rating/And its interesting to note that Shredder 12 engine performs better in other rating lists
In other words, any engine Elo performance is highly effecting from the below main factors:
-Hardware Speed
-Opening Book
-MP Engine Threads-Permanent Brain
-Time Control
...

Hi Sedat,
I think that Spike's better performance is a result of using 6 threads. I know the engine quite well because I made thousands of tests with it (even tested the MP implementation when it was created some years ago). Spike scales better than most engines on 4-8 threads so this is an explanation for performing better than Deep Shredder 12 in your list.

Hello dear Timo,
You can be right, but however i think that Deep Shredder 12 does not perform very good with 6 cores (under these conditions)
Of course, I can be wrong, in other words: more games will tell the true
Btw,here we see really strange results,e.g Deep Shredder 12 x64 6c performed better than Spike 1.4 6c:
http://www.sedatcanbaz.com/chess/scct-auto232-top-20/And here we see just opposite,i mean Spike 1.4 6c performed better:
http://www.sedatcanbaz.com/chess/scct-auto232/It seems,Deep Shredder 12 has no stable results (on my conditions)
For Example,(in my ratings) Naum,Rybka,Critter,Houdini...results are almost similar as other ratings

Sedat
