Hello everyone
vor 11 Stunden
chatWING
You have probably seen the full list of engines for this season.
http://www.chessdom.com/tcec-season-10-participants/ I think it is the best field we have ever seen and that everyone will enjoy the season
Of course we tried to get Shredder in, but they do not want to be part of slow TC chess events
ipmanchess: I can tell you some versions of the engines, but I guess all will be released
in a new article next week
Many people asked me about rapid chess: probably not this season 10,
the reason is purely financial
From today I will be daily in this chat, so if you see me around do not hesitate
to send some questions
also the Facebook channel will be quite active
I wish you all a good day and see you around
http://chatwing.com/tcecThe server should not be more than 20-24 cores at the start, not all engines
can benefit from bigger machines and TCEC tries its best to be a fair event
for all participants. Whether we succeed or not is another topic of discussion
of course, but we try our best
This season we tried to start with stronger E5 Xeon compared to last season
The idea: a stronger server from the start, a shorter season, i.e. higher
condensed quality of games
Unfortunately an E5 was not available at our trusted server providers,
but we found a very nice substitution
So it is a great server in my opinion, a [Dual] Xeon Silver 4116
With 64 GB DDR4 ECC Reg RAM and 256 GB SSD
24 cores
@Jeroen: we are aiming for October 1st, but I cannot confirm as we really
want to have only stable engines and testing will show.
Cato: it most probably will be 100 [games for superfinal]
@Jeroen: Fritz did not answer, Shredder refused
