SCCT (40/120) - Ponder ON

Hello Chess Friends,

After organizing my latest SCCT (40/120) Championship
A new idea/project is born for 2014/2015 !

And I'm pleased to announce that:
- Very soon I plan to run a new competition at 40/120, 20/60, 40/20

More details about my planning new tournament project:
- First of all, my main goal is to produce a lot of high quality games!
- I plan to include firstly the strongest Top 5 chess engines
- Top chess engines are planing to be tested with one core
- All chess engines will be played definitely with Ponder ON
- Perfect 2015 will be used as opening book for all engines
- Live broadcasting tools are not planning to be used on same PC...
- Nowadays I have no plans to adapt the time controls or the hardwares )!
*I mean all chess engines will be played at REAL (40/120) slow time control!

Hello there,

First of all,
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Just I'd like to inform you that,
I've change my mind regarding testing the engines as 1 core and using 40/120 slow time control

Because under the mentioned conditions (running long games / 1 core / several matches on same PC),
I have no much chances to shut down my PCs, running 3 games at same time..., I noticed it later that all time my computers will be busy
And I will have difficulties to shut down my tournament computers....

For example (for maximum performance and strength)
Normally daily I turn off (for an hour) my tournament computers...
Otherwise...it will be pity and I should cancel each time many active games
Theoretically sounds good (40/120; several games at same time etc.), but on practice is not very good idea !)

And for this reason...
Right now I started another new competition: Top 5 engines are playing as MP ; Ponder ON; 60min+15sec

To be honest,
The quality and the strength of next games, which will be played as MP with 60m+15s will be minus plus similar as 1 core 40/120
So...It's not a big miss... I mean we will see again high quality games !)

Btw, here is the standing of my canceled project (engines are played as 1 core; Ponder ON; 40/120 under Arena 3 GUI):

but I think it would be much better, if you could present Tables showing Results when each Engine had played the same number of games.
Here Houdini has played 6 games and Rybka only 3!!
And Komodo with it's 3.5 of 4 only has Place 2 whether it's rate is the best of all (7/8 = 87,5%).

This tournament was canceled, and please do not take seriously the standings..
I just decided to share the played games plus the table too
The duration of the canceled tournament was approx. 12-13 hours
I mean in that period of time, my 2 tournament computers produced 12 games in 3 separately tours...

That's all...

Btw, please don't take too seriously the played games in the latest World Chess Championship too (Anand vs Carlsen)
Because they plan just 12 games )!

To be honest,
We need at least 1000 games for a accurate standings ))!!

And I hope one day,
We will see a hero/s who will have such games at 40/120 and 1000 games per player...

Lets start besieging Anand and Carlsen so that their 1000 Games begin soon.

We are used to see other sport events, Soccer, Handball, tennis...
and we are used to see those events as events with only little significance for its own.
and I think we are used to see a 12-games-chessfight in a siimilar way.
