Komodo 8
Komodo 8 is a substantial improvement over Komodo 7a, which was already rated among the top three chess engines on almost all rating lists. Our internal testing, confirmed by independent testing, shows about a 40 elo gain when run against unrelated engines at 2' + 1" level on one core, about 45 elo on two cores, and about 50 on four or more. Direct matches between Komodo 8 and Komodo 7a show even larger gains by about 25%. This should put Komodo 8 at the top of many or perhaps most rating lists. Gains come from improved search, evaluation, and time management, as well as more efficient use of multiprocessing.
Komodo has finished first and second in the last two TCEC championships, the most prestigious online computer chess event, and also won the last two CCT events.
Komodo 8 supports Syzygy tablebases and is available for Windows, Linux, Mac and Android.

"I am deeply moved by the style of Komodo. In my opinion it's the perfect combination between computer accuracy and human positional understanding. I get the feeling it's taken positional understanding to the next level. After such an impressive performance I am going to test Komodo in my future work, especially in very positional play, and am really looking forward to working with it."
- GM Boris Avrukh
"I am extremely impressed by Komodo's play. I watched and analyzed every game and it was absolutely flawless positional chess, the likes of which has never been seen before by an engine... or human. Komodo clearly outplayed the other programs in the TCEC tournament."
- GM Roman Dzindzichashvili
