InfinityChess kündigt auf seiner Website monatliche Engine-Turniere mit Geldpreisen an.

Infinity Chess is pleased to invite its regular players to monthly
"Engine Masters Tournaments".

The first tournament is going to start on June 29th
[4 pm Server time / 14:00 Uhr unserer Zeit]:

• Time control 16m + 2s

• 9 rounds Swiss System

• Play mode: engine only

• 1st prize $ 500

• 2nd prize $ 200

• No start fee

• Registration June 22nd – June 28th.

Watch out for the registration in the tour room being opened one week before tournament start. Participation is possible for all who played at least 30 engine tournament games on our server during the last two months before tournament start, which means everybody will be able to play the required number of tournament games even during the registration period from June 22nd until June 28th, as InfinityChess is holding daily engine tours since long, mostly blitz, but also rapid tournaments.

Rules and instructions (not too many) will be published, when the registration starts.

Just some notes in advance: You are not allowed to participate with more than one account, and you have to disclose the correct engine name (no phantasy names). You are allowed to use your own book, while you are not allowed to use someone else computer system by remote. You have to attend your engine all the time and be reachable for the TD in order to solve any arising problems, which might for example require to reboot your system.

Next tournaments in this series will be scheduled for the last weekend of each month. Depending on the number of participants we might increase the number of rounds and go for two days instead of one. But for the beginning we think 9 rounds on one day, which might last for 6-7 hours, is a good choice.
