Dear all TCEC fans: New website up. Season 6 -> 7/2-2014

Dear all TCEC fans,

The new website is now ready for the public. It has been a long journey with approximately 30 hours of coding every week since December 1st.

It has been tested quite thoroughly in different browsers but beware that using an older IE version than IE 9 will break many functions. So my recommendation is to use the latest Chrome or Firefox, or IE 9 or later.

Season 6 starts Friday the 7th of February at 20:00 CET (UTC+1) with the first group in Stage 1.

I want to thank all those that have helped me test it during the development, especially Jeremy Bernstein and Paolo Casaschi. You guys are awesome.

Bei mir wird die Seite leider nicht Angezeigt, weder in Chrome noch in Firefox.

Fehler: Netzwerk-Zeitüberschreitung
Der Server unter tcec.chessdom.com braucht zu lange, um eine Antwort zu senden.

Bestimmt nur ein ganz kurzfristiges Problem, das vielleicht am Server bzw. Provider liegt. Hier auch feststellbar.

Werden wir alle Engines in Stage 1 zu sehen bekommen?

Ist es möglich die einzelnen Fenster zu verschieben?
Und die Größe selbst zu bestimmen?
Wie z.B. bei der Fritz GUI.

Für ein Webinterface wird schon sehr viel geboten. Unter dem Menüpunkt "View" kann man beispielsweise die Chatbox ausblenden, und so zusammen mit einer Zoomfunktion des Browsers alles etwas vergrößern. Ich chatte üblicherweise in einem Extratab, umschalten mit Strg-TAB.

Eventuell hilft auch der Vollbildmodus [F11] um die Übersicht zu optimieren.

Also mir gefällt das neue Design viel besser als das alte. Und selbst auf meinem IPad mini und dem Safari-Browser klappt die Anzeige (und der mobile Safari ist ziemlicher Schrott). Mit anderen Browsern ebenfalls.

Würden die Partien nur 2 Stunden und nicht 5 Stunden dauern, würde ich gerne auch mal live zuschauen...Schade drum.

Nice page, good grafics / Options!

For myself a game need too long. Can one hour only concentrated follow a game between chess engines. One of the reason that I am playing max. with 40 moves in 10 minutes all the times. But I am absolutely sure that a lot of people will follow the live games. Furthermore, looks better as on chess server with all the options nobody need.

Great work, great Design.
And super features, for example, the "PV boards start position->Start at the diverging ply" is a very lovely one.
