Es gab offenbar zwei technische Probleme gleichzeitig, oder hintereinander, doch nun läuft es wieder.

Ich habe die Störung verschlafen.

und wieder geht's seit über ner Stunde nicht weiter beim TCEC.....
Weiss jemand was da los ist?

Hello everyone. I am very sorry for the technical problems TCEC had on Friday night and earlier today which has made me very frustrated.

Therefore TCEC will take a few hours break after the current game between Critter and Bouquet today so that I can go over the software and hardware/BIOS in order to check that everything is set the way it should be and that nothing has unexpectedly changed since the server was moved (changed physical location) between Stage 2 and Stage 3.

I am extremely grateful to everyone for following TCEC and all the programmers that have helped make TCEC to the big event that it has become and I hope for understanding from everyone regarding this decision.

A lot of people know that TCEC started out as a hobby project but has now turned into "something bigger", which I am proud of. But TCEC is still only 1 person, I don't have an IT department or a 24/7 hotline. Therefore, because I have a full time job and sometimes need to sleep, I cannot possibly monitor TCEC 24 hours per day. Unfortunately.

Nachtrag: In Folge der Probleme wurden die Syzygy-Tables bei TCEC auf bis zu 5-Steiner reduziert, also auf die 6er verzichtet.

Ein weiteres Detail das aber damit nicht direkt zu tun hat: Die GUI-Abschätzung durch Nalimovs geschieht - laut Anmerkung eines Kibitzes - erst bei #30 oder weniger. Zuvor war zu beobachten, wie eine 5er-Stellung doch noch einige Züge lang weitergespielt wurde, was so erklärt wurde.
