BCPS AWARD : Studies 2010-11, by Sergiy Didukh in the Problemist (britische Zeitschrift), Seite 486 (September, 2012)
" The tourney for the years 2010-2011 attracted a lot of original studies of high quality. This was huge
but pleasant surprise for me because other chess periodicals are happy to have in thier pages even only one
good original a year.
I am very grateful to all the participants for making this tourney one of the strongest ever.
Exactly 50 original studies were published in the magazine in 2010-11.
The super level of the tourney can be felt of the 24 awarded studies, be it a prize, honourable mention or
commendation. The composers have realized a lot of difficult and highly original ideas..."

Rf7 $11 {Sergiy Didukh: Black prevails in both the logical tries thanks to
different checks of b. Q. So w. K. hides on a safe square in the main line and
wins this intriguing duel. This study also impresses by confident behaviour of
the wihite pieces. When Black promotes his first pawn, w S makes a surprising
quiet move. The promotion of the second b. P comes with check but w r shields
the king and fires bcack, saving the doomed knight. Every white man shows his
best in this well- planned performance. A very difficult idea of two long
echo-tries has been staged with great skill} *

playfully puts his rooks en prise in the introduction. On his third move he
foresees the vicious black counterplay for stalemate based on the minor

minor piece. The newborn pieces actively participate in the play...
Spectacular moves go off all over the board. A brillant realization of a

Meine Meinung dazu: Gratulation an Siegfried Hornecker!
