Hello Chess Friends,

I have just started a new Houdini 2 BenchMark List

*Note:I switched from Houdini 1.5a to Houdini 2,due to H2.0 supports up to 32 cores

Nono, dear Sedat...
The 14 sec is an approximation (rounding), the real value is indeed 40035 kN/s, as calculated by the machine, which uses the "not rounded" time (probably 14,078 sec, as I have reverse-calculated)

No...the benchmarking calculation method which i use is the best way
Note also that almost each Chess GUI reports different kns values
But with my system bench calculation,it gives us more true/right bench kns values

And here is an example (see bellow the picture please)
-Do you think that AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @4.22GHz's real speed is 19.431 kns ? (with the current mate position) ??

OK, in the last example, only 16033 is meaningful.

In the example we discussed, there isn't really a significative difference between  40035  and  40259  in terms of benchmark, especially since with MP, repeating the test will give different values.

Final word: the most accurate numbers are obtained with UCI commands, in console mode
