in my opinion konsteniuk played just a good, normal game. ushenina is definitely a very good chess player also, but in this game she clearly had an exceptionally bad day.
her opening knowledge on this well known variation either disappeared in her mind through some drug abuse or was completele missing.
but even if he knew nothing about the Ne2 main line or the unfashionable Be5 line, she played extremely slow and forgot about main principles.
it looks like a beginners game against an expert. Be5 might not be the best theoretically, but Bh7+ is a clear mistake and cxb is just a huge blunder.
maybe she just wanted to make her rooks look as silly as possible.
kosteniuk just needed a minute or so for the winning break d4!
though kosteniuk could have finished in a nicer way by Qb5 instead of Qxb6?!
