Ich verstehe deine Antwort nicht.

1.) Wer ist "Wir"?

2.) Das Spike die gezeigten Matts schneller findet war nicht das Thema.

Es lautet: Geht das noch besser? Mit anderen Engines, vielleicht?

3.) Die engines waren noch in der Arena GUI geladen. Was soll's?

Was mich hier stutzig macht ist die Tatsache das man meilenweit am Matt vorbeiläuft und das dann noch in irrsinniger Tiefe findet. Was ist der Grund dafür?

Annodunnemals (also in den 80ern) musste meist nur die nominelle Tiefe erreicht werden, und dann wurde das Matt auch gefunden.
Heute braucht es ggf. "meilenweit" tiefere Suchen.

Erklärt habe ich mir das so:

Damals wurde im Wesentlichen elementares alpha-beta-gemacht.
Es wurde nur vergleichsweise selten spekulativ beschnitten. Und damit blieb der Verzweigungsgrad groß (Größenordnung: Wurzel aus mittlerer Zügeanzahl in der Stellung).
Ergebnis: die Matts wurden recht sicher gefunden, das Programm gewann aber nur schwer an Tiefe.
Nach meiner Erinnerung brauchte im Mittelspiel ein Ply mehr dann auch ungefähr die fünf- bis sechsfache Zeit.

Heute erlaubt man sich deutlich mehr Cuts, auch wenn sie spekulativ sind, auch weil man zuverlässiger abschätzen kan, was der Cut bedeutet.
So werden Matts zunächst auch gern mal übersehen, die Engine kommt deutlich mehr auf Tiefe, und im Ergebnis steigt sie Spielstärke trotzdem, und das auch deutlich.
Um einen Ply tiefer zu kommen braucht es heute nur die doppelte Zeit, ggf. auch weniger.

Habe ich mir das damit ungefähr passend zurechtgereimt?

Da sehe ich aber zum Colossus2021a einen kleinen Widerspruch :-> , denn der war von 2021. Also noch recht neu.

Zum Anderen, wenn in der Tiefe von 100 ein Matt in 30 gefunden wird, wieso rechnet er in der Tiefe noch tiefer?

Da ist also ein eindeutiger logischer Fehler in diesen Programmen die so rechnen.

Wenn es tatsächlich ein unabwendbares Matt in 30 ist, dann braucht man doch nur noch bis zum Matt in 29 usw. rechnen?

Stimmt das so?

Ich weiß nicht, wie modern Colossus in seiner Konzeption ist, auch 2021 damals war.
Immerhin begann Bryant mit seiner Colossus-Entwicklung bereits in den 80ern und er machte dann sehr, sehr lange eine schöpferische Pause.
Wenn seine "Neuentwicklung" dann vielleicht ja auch doch auf dem Alten aufbaut...?

Das Verhalten der Engines nach einem bereits gefundenen Matt ist auch in meinen Augen schon oft seltsam, wenn da in noch größeren Tiefen weitergesucht wird um da doch eigentlich nur ein kürzeres Matt zu finden
.
Erklärt hatte ich es mir dann damit, dass die Programme wohl darauf getunt sind, möglichst erfolgreich im praktischen Spiel zu sein.
Sich dann in besonders geschickter Weise weiterzusuchen, wenn ein Matt (ein sicherer Sieg also) gesehen wird, liegt wohl oft überhaupt nicht im Fokus der Entwickler.
Und wer weiß: Vielleicht wirkt eine logisch saubere Implementierung für solche Fälle auch kontraproduktiv auf das praktische Spiel, beispielsweise weil das Programm dadurch generell irgendwie gebremst wird, also etwas weniger Knoten pro Sekunde schafft.

Ich denke, LMR (late move reduction) hat hier den größten Einfluss.

Num gibt an, wie "late" der "move" ist. f8g6 wurde also erst als 6. Zug der in dieser Position möglichen Züge gespielt. Und deshalb wird auch schon ganz schön stark reduziert, es geht von Tiefe 32 direkt auf Tiefe 27 (und nicht auf Tiefe 31, wie es ohne LMR zu erwarten wäre). Und dann zwei Züge tiefer nach direkt auf Tiefe 16, weil der fragliche Zug g4g2 erst der 21. in der Liste der möglichen Züge war.
Die Linie wird also bereits nach 8 Zügen nur noch mit Tiefe 8 gespielt und dort dann schließlich verworfen wird.
Also... wo Tiefe 32 drauf steht, ist nur sehr sehr selten Tiefe 32 drin.

Und erschwerend kommt dann noch hinzu, dass die Lösungszüge nicht unbedingt unter den ersten sind, die untersucht werden.
Und je später der Zug, desto weniger Suchtiefe.
