Wenn Stockfish rechnet, beobachtet man in der Entwicklung der Hauptvariante bisweilen so etwas:

Ganz naiv hatte ich erwartet, dass seldepth irgendwie die selektiven Vertiefungen beschreibt, dass seldepth also mindestens so groß sein sollte wie depth.
Hier sehe ich aber, dass depth erwartungsgemäß steigt von 1 bis 6 und dann auch weiter, dass seldepth aber lange bei 2 verharrt, dass der Wert erst bei depth=6 mal auf den Wert 7 springt.
Auch die angezeigte Hauptvariante hat dann jeweils nur die Länge 1, bei depth=6 wird dann mehr gezeigt.

Versteht ihr, wie es zu dieser seltsamen Entwicklung von seldepth kommt?
