Zur Klarheit:

We conclude this section displaying the best play line for the KRN KNN position with maximal distance-to-win, namely 243. Recall that this means it takes 243 moves against optimal Black play in order for White to be able to safely capture a piece, thereby ensuring an easy win. The initial position is shown in Figure 8, and the line of play in Table 3.

Die syzygy-Datenbanken geben die Zugfolge der 242 Züge an. Die Internetseiten zeigen 263 Züge. Die Unterschiede finde ich merkwürdig.

Hier eine Dissertation über MTCS in Schachendspielen.
Sie kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass sich MTCS in Endspielen schlecht abschneidet.
