LCO enttäuscht bei TCEC

7. Once this was figured out, the head admin power limited the GPU cards to 85% and 65% of its peak power.
8. This allowed the cards to run cooler and not get throttled severely
9. And with weaker but stable GPU performance, Leela suddenly started winning.

Danke für die Info, Stefan, ich lese im CCC gerade Ähnliches, wobei sich dort natürlich auch schon angefangen wird zu wundern, dass man da jetzt plötzlich draufkommt, und dass man dann erst in der laufenden Division an der Hardware zu schrauben beginnt. Man sollte doch meinen, dass die Spezialisten Hardware- Probleme nicht nur daran erkennen, dass die Punkte ausbleiben.

Mich wundert nach dem bisherigen Chaos in Season 13 gar nichts mehr. Höchstens, daß noch jemand glaubt, dort wären Spezialisten am Werk...

Nach meinen Tests mit GTX 1050Ti und GTX 960 könnte LcO 0.16.0 die viertstärkste Engine werden.

Gegen Deep Shredder 13 + 70 Elo

Gleichstand mit Fire 7.1 und Ethereal 10.55

Ethereal 10.81 dürfte noch sehr interessant sein. Kann man z.Zt. noch nicht downloaden.

Wichtig ist dass die Hardware praktikabel ist

Der Lärmpegel und die Wärmeentwicklung ist bei meinen Geräten gut.

Eine GTX 1080 könnte ich mir in einem PC aber nicht in einem Notebook vorstellen wegen ob. Anführung.

Die GTX 1050Ti ist laut meiner Teststellungen um 39 % schneller als die GTX 960.

Schön wäre es wenn LcO bei TCEC Division 3 den 2.Platz belegen könnte.

TCEC-Rules:
In case of tied, then the direct encounter between the tied engines decides.

Also Arasan 2.Platz => Mehr Siege (9 vs. 7 )

Ein Vorabtest von ein zwei Tagen hätte hier wohl die größten Probleme erkennen lassen.
Das kommt davon wenn man zu gierig wird.

oder die neuen 1180er, eine NVIDIA Ankuendigung wird erwartet in der naechsten Woche.

Bonus Partien find ich gut, z.B. LC0161-LC0520-LC0780-DeusX und evtl. einige der >=5
neuen NN-Engines die auf Zulassung fuer S14 warten.
Die koennen auf dem GPU-server spielen, der ja nun
nicht mehr benoetigt wird diese Saison.
Parallel zu den normalen Partien, braucht ja nicht live zu sein.

Lt. Rules auf TCEC:

If necessary, tiebreaks can be used to determine advancement.
For all Divisions (not the Superfinal), the first tiebreak criteria is the "crash" tiebreak, meaning that if an engine has crashed once or more during the Division, it will fail qualification versus another engine that has not crashed if both of them has the same amount of points.

In case of still being tied, then the direct encounter between the tied engines decides.

The next criterion is the greatest number of wins, then the greatest number of wins with black.
The Sonneborn-Berger is the next criteria. If they are still tied, then the tournament organizers will decide which engine gets the promotion.
