Maybe todays new updates will help, because the ChangeLog says:

CB 12.21 (Service Pack)
- Possbile crash after successfull activation without restart.
- Improved dialog handling.
- Improved unicode support in game and list display.
- Bug in new unicode annotation dialog with figurines and newlines in text copied from other sources.
- Illegal (training) positions can be entered, stored, printed, etc.
- Windows 8.1 Support.

Rightclick on the link(s), choose "Save as..." and change the fileextension from 'txt' to 'exe'.
Then run this update and see if the activation is working again.

Schnell? Na ja. Immerhin gibt es die Preview schon lange zum Download. Als Softwareanbieter sollte man frühzeitig auch mit Beta Versionen testen.

Zum Glück arbeite ich noch immer mit Windows 7 Ultimate ... mit Win 8 kann ich mich einfach nicht anfreunden. Für Tablet Geräte sicher schön und auch praktisch, aber nicht für normale Notebooks ...
